Our beloved principal, Dr. Vale, was terminated on Friday, May 10, 2024, due to “no probable cause.”

Event details for Tuesday, May 14

Roughly 67% of our student body called in sick on Monday, May 13 (sick to their stomachs with HISD). Around 150 kids and parents chanted and protested outside of the school this morning.

We want to keep the momentum going for our school staff, teachers, and principal by asking you do which of the three options below is best for your family.

  • Keeping your kiddos home from school again tomorrow

  • Showing up after 9:31 a.m. to drop your kid off for school

  • Sending your kiddo to school with a sign on their shirt in support of Dr. Clark is another great way to support if you’re more comfortable with that.

**Options 1 and 2 will mark your child as absent

**Students can have up to 16 absences before having to worry about summer school.
**NES schools do not get funding based on attendance, so school funding for next year would not be impacted by absences this year.

Crockett ES's WONDERFUL Librarian just won
"HISD's District Librarian of The Year!" She is being honored on Friday by the district and with the issues happening at Crockett this week, we don't even know if she'll have a job next year. This is the banquet that will honor all the educators of the year, so Ms. Sanchez and Ms. Ruiz will be honored as well.
